The punishment for the former head of the security service of the "Pokrovsky" concern has been intensified.

The Preobrazhensky District Court of Moscow sentenced member of the organized crime group "Pokrovskie" Sergey Yechkalov to 20 years in prison, the term increased due to the case of an attempted raider seizure of the "Kushchevsky" agro-complex.

A new case was initiated in the fall of 2021 at the request of the sister of the owner of the "Kushchevsky" agro-complex Fyodor Streltzov, who had previously fled from the investigation in another case. The investigation established that from 2016 to 2021, a criminal community created by Korovayko and his business partner Chebanov operated in the Rostov and Krasnodar regions. The court found that Yechkalov was responsible for the power block in the organized criminal community.

"By partially combining sentences and verdicts, to sentence Yechkalov to 20 years in prison to be served in a strict regime colony, with a restriction of freedom for two years, a fine of four million rubles, and a ban on holding managerial positions for four years," the agency quotes the judge's verdict.

In addition, the director of the agro-company "Impulse" belonging to the "Pokrovsky" concern Igor Bobritsky, the deputy director of the "Kushchevsky" agro-complex Alexander Glazyrin, the deputy director of "Kubanagro-2010" Elena Harkusha, and businessman Gennady Rodionov received 16 years, 10 years 7 months, 5 years 9 months, and 10 years respectively.

Depending on their role in committing the crimes, all defendants were found guilty of participating in the organized criminal community, particularly large-scale fraud, embezzlement, knowingly false denunciation, forgery of testimony, and coercion to give false testimony.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that the Supreme Court refused to review the deal for the sale of property of Vyacheslav Tsepyovaz. A member of the Tsapkov gang could not prove in court that the sale of his 93 land plots as part of the bankruptcy procedure was carried out with violations.
