The prosecution demanded 400 hours of community service for comedian Semyon Slepakov* for posts without the foreign agent label. Slepakov* sent a statement to the court indicating that he left the country in 2022 and did not post any materials on the territory of Russia or under its jurisdiction.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", at the end of May, the Moscow City Court recognized as lawful the absent arrest of singer and comedian Slepakov* in the case of violating foreign agent obligations, leaving his complaint unsatisfied. In July, at the request of the investigation, the Moscow City Court chose a measure of restraint in the form of arrest for the comedian and musician from Pyatigorsk, Semyon Slepakov*. He has also been declared wanted.

Semyon Slepakov* is being asked to be sentenced in absentia to 400 hours of community service.

The prosecution requests to find the comedian guilty of evading foreign agent obligations (Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code). He was charged with the absence of labels on the songs he distributed on Instagram**. The prosecution asked to sentence him to 400 hours of community service, reports "Caution, news".

The hearing in the case began on August 7, and it is being considered by a magistrate.

According to the indictment, Slepakov*, "experiencing dislike for the activities of the President of Russia and the armed forces," published several posts on Instagram** in January 2026 without the label "foreign agent." In one of them, there is a video of the comedian's performance parodying the song "Mother Earth," in which he mentions the terms of the President of Russia's time in power and characterizes the style of governing the country, writes "Mediazona*".

Slepakov*, according to his lawyer, sent a statement to the court stating that he left the country in 2022, "did not post any materials on the territory of the Russian Federation" or under its jurisdiction, and was not notified about the court. "He does not quite understand what he is being accused of; the indictment does not even specify which materials are being attributed to him," the publication quotes the lawyer's words.

Earlier, the Ministry of Justice explained the decision to recognize Slepakov* as a foreign agent due to the fact that the artist received support from foreign sources, condemned the actions of the Russian authorities in Ukraine, formed a negative attitude towards military service, and spoke negatively about Russians. Problems with the foreign agent status began after Slepakov* performed a song about the deaths of Russian soldiers in Ukraine, "Gazeta.ru" clarified.

In June 2018, Semyon Slepakov* published a satirical song about the failure of the head of Chechnya as the coach of the Russian national football team. According to the author, even the harsh methods practiced in Chechnya will not help the team at the World Cup. The head of the Ministry of Press of Chechnya, Dzhambulat Umarov, demanded an apology from the comedian, and Kadyrov himself predicted the emergence of another song. After that, Slepakov* made symbolic apologies: the comedian and leader of the band "Leningrad" Sergey Shnurov recorded a song about how Slepakov* "sang a song about Ramzan," also apologizing for not believing in the success of the national team.
