Representatives of the Chechen diaspora at the rally in Switzerland called for an end to the deportation of refugees from Germany.

A rally in support of natives of Chechnya, who are at risk of deportation to Russia, took place in front of the German embassy in Bern, Switzerland. Participants called for an objective review of the case concerning Muslim Alhazov and other refugees from Chechnya.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in July, activists of the Chechen diaspora held pickets at German embassies in the capitals of Austria, the Czech Republic, and Finland in support of Chechen refugee Muslim Alhazov, who is facing deportation from Germany to Russia. The decision to deport Alhazov has been appealed, but he remains at risk, as do hundreds of other refugees from Chechnya due to tightening migration legislation in Europe, human rights defenders noted. The number of unjust refusals to grant asylum to Chechens in Europe has increased, partly because decisions about the fate of refugees are made by special services without considering the risks of returning to Chechnya, representatives of the diaspora emphasized.

A rally was held in Bern (Switzerland) with the participation of representatives of the Chechen diaspora and human rights defenders in support of natives of Chechnya who are at risk of deportation to Russia.

In particular, the rally was attended by Fatima Gazieva, a representative of the organization PeaceWomen Across the Globe in Belgium, and activist Zainap Gashaeva.

As human rights defender Roza Dunaeva writes on her Instagram page*, rally participants gathered in front of the German embassy and demanded an objective review of the cases concerning Muslim Alhazov, as well as the families of Abuyev, Murtazov, Shakhbiyev, Umarov, and others.

Participants of the rally emphasized that the fate of Muslim Alhazov is primarily a matter of human rights protection and human safety, Fatima Gazieva writes in her Instagram* public.
