Resting on 109 beaches of Anapa has been recognized as safe after an oil spill.

109 beaches of Anapa received permission from Rospotrebnadzor to operate after the area was filled with new sand, and three more beaches are undergoing examination.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the Anapa beaches, after being filled with new sand, turned into a mixture of stones and clay, and officials' reports do not correspond to reality, Telegram users pointed out. According to commentators, significant costs were incurred to fill the Anapa beaches after the oil spill, but the first storms washed away the sand, and what remained on the shore became compacted. Another problem for Anapa's beaches after the storm was the large amount of seaweed. Permission to operate has already been granted to 105 beaches of Anapa, and four more are undergoing examination.

The government commission continues to coordinate efforts to eliminate the consequences of the oil product spill due to tanker crashes in the Kerch Strait, the Russian government reported today on its Telegram channel.

"The filling of beach areas affected by the emergency has been completed. Permits from Rospotrebnadzor have already been granted to 109 beaches of Anapa. Three more are undergoing examination," the message states.

The message also claims that based on monitoring of the Black Sea waters and the coastline in the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Crimea, "no cases of oil product discharges have been recorded along the coastline."

The resort season in Anapa opened against a sharp contrast in the condition of the coastline. Some beaches are open and recognized as safe, while other areas are closed due to erosion, unstable ground, and environmental risks.
