The number of injured in the drone attack on Kuban has increased.

In the hospitals of Novorossiysk, 12 people injured as a result of the night drone attack are receiving treatment, reported the assistant to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Aleksey Kuznetsov. "The condition of two of them is assessed by doctors as serious," – his words were quoted today by "Interfax".

Another seven people sought outpatient assistance, Kuznetsov added.

The mother of the eight-year-old boy who died in Novorossiysk is in serious condition, and another son, who is six years old, received serious injuries, reported the children's rights commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova.

A state of emergency (EMERGENCY) has been declared in Novorossiysk. A headquarters has been set up to eliminate the consequences of the drone attack, coordinating the work of emergency services, reported the city's mayor Andrey Kravchenko. "Damage assessment reports will be compiled for each address for subsequent payments. <…> We will provide all necessary assistance to the victims," – he wrote today in his Telegram channel.

According to updated data, buildings of two schools and a college in the Eastern district were damaged. In addition, there was a rupture of two water supply pipelines, which led to a suspension of water supply to the city, Kravchenko added.

It should be noted that the Krasnodar region is regularly subjected to drone attacks. Against the backdrop of drone attacks on oil refineries, including those located in Kuban, a fuel crisis has arisen. In the Krasnodar region, the fuel problem caused a sharp increase in demand for the installation of gas cylinder equipment. In auto services, customer queues have stretched for several months ahead, and the cost of equipment has nearly doubled.

Analysts previously noted that the long wait forces motorists to turn to "gray" installers who do not guarantee the safety of the equipment.

At the same time, analysts believe that the mass installation of gas equipment will not help overcome the fuel crisis, as the necessary infrastructure is still lacking.

Creating such infrastructure in a short time is impossible, said the deputy general director of the National Energy Institute Alexander Frolov. "However, the current crisis is a good reason to remember the programs that already exist but are developing much slower than planned," – he noted.

The leading analyst of the National Energy Security Fund Igor Yushkov suggested that the mass transition of drivers to gas will not become a long-term trend. In his opinion, after the fuel problem is resolved and queues at gas stations disappear, the excitement around the installation of gas equipment will decline.
