The authorities of Chechnya will additionally allocate 505 million rubles to residents of the republic affected by the consequences of the spring floods. 320.7 million rubles from the federal budget is directed to support affected agricultural producers.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in early July, the Russian government allocated 4.4 billion rubles for eliminating the consequences of flooding in Dagestan and Chechnya. This funding will be used for the restoration of housing stock.

To assist affected citizens, an additional 505 million rubles has been allocated from the republican budget, reported the head of the Chechen government, Magomed Daudov, at a government commission meeting today.

In addition, 320.7 million rubles has been allocated from the federal budget to support affected agricultural producers, the official wrote on his Telegram channel.

During the floods in Chechnya, buildings of more than 40 educational institutions were damaged. The state examination approved the restoration project for 41 buildings, and repairs have begun on 39 of them, with work expected to be completed by August 31.

According to Daudov, the restoration of healthcare and cultural facilities is also ongoing in the republic. Electricity supply in the areas affected by the disaster has been restored or is being provided through a temporary scheme.

On July 29, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic and Territorial Development of Chechnya Rustam Shaptukaev stated that more than 52,000 applications had been received from residents of the republic affected by the flood. "The loading of incoming applications onto the state services portal is ongoing. To date, over 52,000 applications have been uploaded," Shaptukaev wrote on his Telegram channel.

Payments related to property loss due to flooding have not been received by all affected residents of Chechnya, noted a reader of the "Caucasian Knot" with the nickname herb on the same day.

"Among my acquaintances, there are several families who lost property and livestock at that time. None of them, for some reason, have received any of the promised payments from the state so far," he wrote.

The floods caused by heavy rains began in the North Caucasus at the end of March and became one of the most destructive in recent years.
