The beaches of Anapa have completely finished the replenishment of an additional layer of clean sand, the government of Russia reported today.

A new layer of sand at least 50 centimeters thick has been added along the coastline stretching about 12 km. In total, more than 446 thousand cubic meters of sand have been brought to the beaches. After that, it was dried and sifted using special equipment.

97 beaches have already received the necessary permits from Rospotrebnadzor and are welcoming guests. Another 7 beaches are undergoing inspection.

"The sand, as close as possible in composition to that found on the coast, was taken from a quarry selected by experts from the scientific community and approved by Rospotrebnadzor. The quality of each batch was checked in the laboratory," assures the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region.
