A case is being investigated against the deputy from "Strong Armenia" Narek Karapetyan for coercion to participate in a meeting using violence and money laundering on a particularly large scale. He has been assigned a bail of 2.7 million dollars and is prohibited from leaving the country.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the Central Election Commission of Armenia has agreed to involve the parliament deputy from "Strong Armenia" Narek Karapetyan as a defendant, but rejected the petition of the Prosecutor General's Office for his arrest.

The "Strong Armenia" bloc, along with other parties, after the Constitutional Court's decision, which upheld the Central Election Commission's decision on the election results, issued a statement about the illegitimacy of the power and plans to seek its removal.

The parliament deputy of Armenia Narek Karapetyan has been assigned a preventive measure in the form of a travel ban and bail of 1 billion drams (2.7 million dollars), reported Armenia Today, citing the Prosecutor General's Office.

Recently, the prosecutor initiated public criminal prosecution against Narek Karapetyan under part 2 of article 236 of the RA Criminal Code (coercion to participate in a meeting using violence or the threat of its use) and under paragraph 3 of part 3 of article 296 (money laundering on a particularly large scale), the details of the case are not disclosed, writes Aysor.Am.
