Five teenagers in Alagir filled a pothole with gravel that the relevant services had not fixed for more than two years. Residents of North Ossetia, commenting on the teenagers' initiative on social media, called their actions commendable and criticized local officials.

A photo was attached to the post showing five teenagers holding shovels, with traces of gravel visible on the asphalt. Commenting on this publication, users identifying themselves as residents of North Ossetia criticized the officials.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that residents of North Ossetia had previously repeatedly complained about infrastructure and improvement issues. For instance, on June 25, 2025, activists pointed out that there are problems with public transport and electricity supply in the republic, with constant outages and accidents on power lines.

Residents of North Ossetia were also dissatisfied with other decisions by the authorities regarding improvement and urban infrastructure development. In July 2024, the plans of the authorities for the construction at the Water Station caused discontent among Vladikavkaz residents. The work involved cutting down forests, and the townspeople believed this would harm the ecology. The Union of Architects of North Ossetia sided with the residents, stating that Vladikavkaz lacks park areas, and the prosecutor's office demanded the cancellation of the results of public hearings.

Later, a number of violations were identified in the project for the construction of a recreation area near the Water Station, and a lawsuit was filed to cancel the construction.

In May 2025, the court recognized the investment agreements and land lease contracts around the Water Station in Vladikavkaz as invalid.
