Roman Murdiev recorded a video message to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, thanking him for his support and assistance.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 15, it became known that Roman (Muslim) Murdiev was released. Residents of Chechnya, commenting on social media about his release, noted that the entire republic was concerned about Murdiev's fate.

The video, in which Roman (Muslim) Murdiev thanked the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, was posted on July 17 by the Instagram*-public chp_checchnya. In the video, Murdiev, looking into the camera, speaks in Chechen. "Muslim Murdiev thanked the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov," the video description says.

The translation of Murdiev's words was provided by one of the readers of "Caucasian Knot". "May Allah be pleased with the help you provided, with the words (of support) you expressed from the bottom of your heart. With your support, words, and assistance, the time spent there did not seem so hard to me," the reader quoted his version of Murdiev's words.

On September 29, 2025, the court sentenced Murdiev to one year and 11 months of imprisonment. He was sent to a juvenile correctional facility in the Volgograd region.

Murdiev's mother appealed to Vladimir Putin, asking for her son's safety. According to Murdiev's mother, she received threats promising revenge for the beaten Nikita Zhuravel by Adam Kadyrov. Murdiev's mother's appeal raised many questions among social media users.
