The authorities' report on fuel reserves caused skepticism among the residents of North Ossetia.

The authorities of North Ossetia reported that the republic has enough fuel reserves to fully meet the demand for it. Local residents, commenting on this report from the authorities on social media, demanded that instead of demonstrating numbers, they ensure the availability of gasoline at gas stations. They also complained about the rising cost of fuel.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on July 15, residents of North Ossetia said that they continue to face a shortage of gasoline at major network gas stations. Some drivers spend several hours in line to refuel at federal network gas stations, while others prefer to buy more expensive fuel at private gas stations, where there are almost no queues. The price of gasoline at commercial gas stations is in some cases almost double, the drivers noted. In their opinion, the introduction of a refueling system on even and odd days could reduce queues.

The Instagram*-public northossetia published a video on July 17, in which the chairman of the North Ossetia Committee for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations Alexander Khoruzhiy reported on the fuel reserves in the republic. He also noted that the volume of its sales has increased.

"There are 3487 tons of gasoline and 2457 tons of diesel fuel available at oil depots. <…> Additional measures are being developed to prevent the situation from worsening," said Khoruzhiy.

Residents of North Ossetia, commenting on this video, doubted that the information provided by the authorities corresponds to the situation at gas stations. They also demanded specific results from officials instead of demonstrating numbers.

"Queues tell a different story! Who needs these numbers?" asked tsfa2319.

"Why do we need this information? Give people gasoline," wrote kokoev_tour.

Some commentators critically assessed the work of officials. "What is wrong with you? Maybe it would be better for you not to work?" asked kolieva__olga.

"We should always have enough petroleum products," noted 391__amir.

One user reported that she spent several hours in line at a gas station. "This morning I stood in line for two hours at Zotov, at 'Rosneft', to refuel. Just for your information," noted the user iris_flowers_vld.

Some commentators pointed out the cost of fuel. "You better control the prices!" indicated asiattokumaeva.

"Why are you raising prices?" asked batraz1262.

"Why does the price of gas change every day, not to mention gasoline?" wondered valeratsagolov.

Recall that on July 15, residents of North Ossetia said that gasoline is usually cheaper at major network gas stations, but drivers have to spend from several minutes to several hours in line.

According to them, the price of AI-95 at the gas stations of "Rosneft", "Gazprom", and "Lukoil" is about 67, 70, and 72 rubles per liter, respectively. At commercial gas stations on July 15, AI-95 was sold for 100-115 rubles per liter, and in Mozdok, its price, according to a local resident, reached 140 rubles.

Diesel fuel at a network gas station in Vladikavkaz cost about 75 rubles per liter, while the price difference between network and private gas stations reached about 20 rubles. Drivers also reported an increase in the price of automotive gas: its cost rose by about 7-8 rubles and as of July 15 was about 25 rubles per liter. Some motorists noted that more expensive fuel at private gas stations can be purchased without waiting in line.
