The Central Bank dedicated a two-ruble coin to Akhmat Kadyrov.

The Bank of Russia has issued a commemorative silver coin featuring the portrait of the first president of Chechnya, Akhmat Kadyrov. The coin, with a denomination of 2 rubles, is part of the series "Outstanding Personalities of Russia."

The Bank of Russia will introduce a commemorative silver coin worth 2 rubles on July 14, issued for the 75th anniversary of Akhmat Kadyrov's birth. The coin is made of 925 silver, and its mintage is three thousand copies.

The obverse of the coin features a relief image of the coat of arms of the Russian Federation, while the reverse displays a relief portrait of Akhmat Kadyrov and an image of Grozny against the backdrop of the Caucasus Mountains. Along the lower edge is an inscription: the full name of Kadyrov Sr., with the year of his birth (1951) to the left and the year of death (2004) to the right.

The coin is a legal means of payment on the territory of Russia and must be accepted at face value, emphasized in today's message from the regulator's press service.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported that on October 12, 2025, the Bank of Russia prematurely stopped the voting for symbols for the new 500-ruble banknote, stating that there were numerous attempts to "technically increase the number of votes for certain objects" during the voting. Prior to this, Ramzan Kadyrov announced a lottery for ten iPhone 17 among those who vote four times (on "VKontakte", "Odnoklassniki", via email, and on "Gosuslugi") for the image of "Grozny-City" on the reverse side of the banknote and report it on social media.

In response to the lottery announced by Kadyrov, the Central Bank changed the voting conditions, allowing votes only through "Gosuslugi". The Minister of National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press, and Information of Chechnya, Akhmed Dudayev, stated that the Central Bank changed the rules of the game at the moment when "Grozny-City" became the leader in voting. When the voting was prematurely stopped, Dudayev declared it a victory.
