The case of the former vice-governor of Kuban, Alexander Vlasov, accused of large-scale fraud and abuse of power, will be heard by the Soviet District Court of Krasnodar.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the acting vice-governor of Krasnodar Krai, Alexander Vlasov, announced his resignation on September 29, 2025, due to his departure to the front as part of the Cossack brigade "Kuban", and a few hours later was detained in a case of embezzlement of funds intended for participants in military operations. On September 30, Alexander Vlasov was sent to a pre-trial detention center, and his arrest was extended until the end of February. On May 6, the court in absentia arrested entrepreneur Roman Lyubimenko, who is accused of fraud in supplying low-quality UAVs for military needs at inflated prices.

The criminal case of the former vice-governor of Kuban, former ataman of the Kuban Cossack Army, Alexander Vlasov, accused of large-scale fraud and abuse of official powers, has reached the court, writes "Morning South" on July 10.

The preliminary hearing in the case will take place on July 14 at the Soviet District Court of Krasnodar. The investigation believes that Vlasov is involved in the embezzlement of funds allocated for the purchase of equipment for the volunteer units BARS-16 and BARS-11, which are part of the special forces brigade "Kuban". The equipment did not reach the fighters.

Also involved in the case is Vlasov's former assistant Alexander Starodubtsev.
