A fighter from Krasnodar Krai was killed in Ukraine

Roman Burkitsov from Krasnodar was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have named at least 864 killed soldiers from Kuban.

The head of Krasnodar, Evgeny Naumov, reported today in his Telegram channel about the opening of a memorial plaque on one of the houses in the Central District, where Roman Burkitsov, killed in the military operation, grew up.

Burkitsov graduated from the 12th Lyceum, then was drafted into the army, participated in the Chechen armed conflict, where he received the status of a combat veteran and the Suvorov medal. In the first year of the special military operation, he went to the combat zone as a volunteer. He was killed in the fall of 2023. Posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.

Thus, at least 864 combatants from Krasnodar Krai have been officially recognized as killed. "Caucasian Knot" maintains a named list of natives of the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District killed in the military operation. At the end of June, the authorities of the Korenevsky District of Kuban reported on the transfer of posthumous awards to 14 fighters.
