A court in Nalchik will hear a case involving the preparation of terrorist attacks in Kizlyar.

To expedite the trial, the first court hearing in the case of 11 people accused of plotting terrorist attacks in Dagestan in 2024 has been held in Nalchik.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on April 15, it was announced that the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don has received a case concerning the preparation of terrorist attacks in Dagestan in 2024, in which 11 people are accused.

The Southern District Military Court will hold a mobile hearing in Nalchik regarding the plot to bomb security forces buildings in Dagestan. The first hearing is scheduled for July 7 at 2:00 PM. The decision to move the hearing was made to expedite the process, TASS reported today, citing a court statement.

According to investigators, the organizer of the community, Yamlikhan Aliyev (listed as a terrorist and extremist), recruited several people on religious grounds. They planned to commit terrorist attacks to intimidate residents, purchased weapons and ammunition, and in the summer of 2024, ordered components for making explosives through marketplaces. The targets of the terrorist attacks were a military unit in Kizlyar and FSB and Ministry of Internal Affairs buildings in Dagestan.

The accused were unable to carry out their plans, as the explosives on the outskirts of the village of Staraya Serebryakovka were discovered and defused by FSB officers.

The suspects in the preparation of terrorist attacks in Dagestan are charged with preparing a terrorist attack, creating a terrorist group, and illegally manufacturing explosives.
