Residents of flooded houses in Krasnodar complained about the lack of assistance.

Water has been standing on the streets of Krasnodar for several days, but the water has still not been pumped out, local residents complained on social media. In the past 24 hours, 268 reports were received, 91 of which were for flooded roads, the rest for courtyards and private homes, the city administration reported, noting that 16 motor pumps were in operation.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," some streets in Krasnodar were flooded after heavy rainfall. Residents attributed this to inoperative storm drains. They criticized officials on social media and demanded that authorities pay more attention to the city's problems.

Krasnodar residents have previously repeatedly complained that some streets in the city are flooded during rains. On July 23, 2022, the Muzykalny microdistrict was flooded after a heavy rain. Residents noted that officials and utility services failed to respond. They complained that flooding in various parts of the city occurs regularly due to problems with inoperative storm drains.

A Krasnodar resident living on Kolkhoznaya Street reported that courtyards were flooded along the entire street. "This happened because the storm drain was clogged," Krasnodar Teletype quoted her as saying.

According to her, the authorities are not providing assistance. "We have repeatedly contacted the administration, the water utility, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and other services involved in pumping out water, but they are telling us to wait." In the video, she showed standing water in the yard; according to her, the water level has been 30-40 centimeters for three days now. The garage, basement, and shed are flooded, and the vegetable garden is completely submerged.

Residents of Yaroslavskaya Street demanded a visit from the mayor, and the police arrived. "There are no motor pumps. They came yesterday, stood there, and left without pumping anything. People can only reach the store by swimming," local residents are quoted as saying.

Officials reported on the operation of motor pumps

In Krasnodar, 89 residential areas were flooded yesterday, with water entering seven basements of apartment buildings and 74 private homes. Fourteen people and 24 pieces of equipment, including 16 motor pumps, are working to pump out water, according to the Krasnodar Krai task force.

Over the past 24 hours, the Unified Dispatch Service (EDDS) received 268 calls, 91 of which were for flooded roads, while the rest involved courtyards and private homes. Work is ongoing around the clock, according to the city administration.

The mayor's office reported that work has begun on Yaroslavskaya Street. "Two units of special Rescue Service equipment are working on Yaroslavskaya Street, near the 9th kilometer. Work will continue until the flooding is completely eliminated," the city administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Pumping was completed on Moskovskaya and Dombayskaya Streets: 540 cubic meters of water were removed from the roadways, traffic was restored on Moskovskaya Street, and power was restored on Dombayskaya Street. Special equipment (18 trucks and 16 motor pumps) is working on Aksayskaya and Musorgsky Streets. Vodokanal employees have pumped out another 850 cubic meters of water from 40-letiya Pobedy, Krupskaya, Mekhanicheskaya, and other streets, as well as from the grounds of the Regional Emergency Hospital, the city administration reported on its Telegram channel.

Flooding also affected districts of Kuban

In Labinsk, heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours has caused flooding in three residential areas, with water entering one house. Twelve people and three pieces of equipment are involved in the water pumping work.
  
In the Kalininsky District, rising groundwater levels have caused flooding in 16 residential areas and two homes. Water pumping operations continue with a team of 65 people and 12 pieces of equipment.
 
Assessment commissions are already working in these three municipalities, recording the damage caused. No evacuation was required.
 
Due to the threat of flooding in the region, a state of emergency is in effect in the Krymsk district in the Kievskoye, Yuzhnoye, Keslerovskoye rural settlements and Troitskoye, where there is a risk of overflowing water on the Afipsky discharge canal, as well as in the Slavyansky district, the report says.
