Armenia's Anti-Corruption Committee has announced plans to bribe voters on a large scale.

Two people were detained today in connection with a pre-election bribery case; one of those detained is 18-year-old journalist Aram Davtyan from Gyumri. Law enforcement officials conducted searches today at the ARF Dashnaktsutyun office in Gyumri. Supporters of various parties are preparing to pay election bribes in the final days of the campaign, the Anti-Corruption Committee stated.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia regularly reports new cases and arrests related to the distribution of election bribes. For example, in April-May, the agency announced the initiation of criminal cases against members of the "Strong Armenia" party suspected of bribing voters. These statements were accompanied by the publication of recordings of conversations in which the size of election bribes and the conditions for supporting politicians are discussed. On June 3, an associate of Karapetyan was arrested. A case against a candidate for parliament from Prosperous Armenia and a case against pro-Russian blogger Mika Badalyan have also been reported.

Two people were detained today in another criminal case initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia on the facts of giving and receiving election bribes, reports

On the morning of June 4, officers of the National Security Service of Armenia entered the apartment of 18-year-old journalist Aram Davtyan in Gyumri and detained him.

Aram Davtyan's father, Stepan Davtyan, called the act accused of his son - giving and receiving an election bribe - absurd.

"In the morning My son was sleeping at home when two people came, introduced themselves as SNB officers, and presented a warrant for his arrest for bribery and election bribery. He's now been taken to the Anti-Corruption Committee. We're shocked; he works as a journalist and has nothing to do with such things. "He also told me that there was nothing like that," the father is quoted as saying.

Today, security forces conducted searches at the ARF Dashnaktsutyun office in Gyumri and the apartments of opposition party representatives, said Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a representative of the ARF Supreme Body and number two on the Armenia bloc's electoral list.

According to him, the authorities' actions in recent days are illegal attempts to disrupt the normal work of opposition headquarters and influence the will of voters.

Saghatelyan called the security forces' actions "desperate steps by the regime." He called on supporters to continue their work and citizens to respond to what is happening by participating in the elections, Armenia Today writes.

The Anti-Corruption Committee announced the preparation of a large-scale distribution of bribes to voters.

Supporters of various parties are preparing to give election bribes, the Anti-Corruption Committee announced today.

"According to the information received, they are preparing to hand over election bribes to citizens who previously gave their consent, the day before the elections, including late at night, counting on the fact that the legal response on the day of silence will be limited," the Anti-Corruption Committee said in a statement, Armenpress reports.

The Committee threatened that all violators will be "held strictly accountable under the law."
