Dmitry Shafikin was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 843 soldiers from the Krasnodar Territory have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by April 15, at least 842 soldiers from the Krasnodar Territory had been officially recognized as killed.

A memorial plaque was unveiled at School No. 8 in the Belorechensky District to honor graduate Dmitry Shafikin, the Krasnodar Territory Prosecutor's Office reported. Dmitry was born on June 2, 1991, in Kurchatov. After moving to the Belorechensky District, he began studying at School No. 8. In September 2022, Dmitry departed for a special operation as a private mortar operator. He was killed on October 2, 2023, during an artillery attack in the Artemovsk-Andreyevka direction in the DPR. He was awarded the Order of Courage posthumously, according to a post on his Telegram channel.

Thus, at least 843 soldiers from Krasnodar Krai have been officially recognized as killed.

Earlier, in November 2024, authorities in the Belorechensky District reported that Yevgeny Literov and Viktor Lyubimov had been killed in the North Caucasus Military District.

The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and security agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "NVO Statistics: Losses Are Mounting for Southern Russia."
