Pro-European protests in Tbilisi have continued for 527 days.

Activists, who took to the Georgian parliament building for the 527th day in a row, demanded the release of political prisoners and supported the demand for the purchase of medications for children with Duchenne syndrome.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, on May 7, the 526th day of protests, protesters at the Georgian parliament once again supported the demands of parents seeking the purchase of a modern medication for children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Supporters of Georgia's European integration, carrying national and EU flags, took to the square outside the parliament on Rustaveli Avenue for the 527th evening in a row.

The protesters' posters recalled the unwavering demand for the release of political prisoners and the demand to purchase medicine for children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The activists held slogans: "Saturday is the day of the march," "Give the children medicine," "Children's hearts must be protected," "Save the children," "In a normal country, people don't get arrested for standing on the sidewalk," and "The Kremlin and pro-Kremlin supporters are on fire," according to posts by photographer Mo Se and Georgian media on Facebook*.

One of the posters read: "Waiting for Gela Hasai." Gela Hasai, an activist for the "Girchi - More Freedom" party, was arrested on October 1 on trumped-up charges of assault.

At the meeting on the avenue At least 50 people participated in the Rustaveli Square. Protesters in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024. Security forces carried out violent dispersals of the protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detained protesters.
