A march demanding medical treatment for children took place in Tbilisi.

On the 522nd day of continuous protests, parents of children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and activists marched along Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, demanding treatment with modern medicines.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, on April 30, the 519th day of protests, participants in the rally on Rustaveli Avenuedemanded the release of political prisoners and once again spoke out in support of children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The demand for medicine for the children was also voiced on May 1, the 520th day of protests. Since April 20, parents of sick children have been spending the nightsleeping near the government chancellery.

Today, parents of children with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and activists held a march demanding funding for their children's treatment. The march began at the Rustaveli metro station and continued to the government administration building.

The protest's slogan remains unchanged: "Give the children medicine," Publika reports.

According to the video published by the outlet, the march took place on the roadway.

Protesters carried symbolic red balloons and banners. The march is accompanied by police crews, InterPressNews reports.

As one of the parents, Tako Gogaladze, told reporters, the protests will continue until the children receive the treatment they need.

"This march is dedicated to children suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy and the demand we've been making for two years—to provide medication. This is vital for these children, as the disease is fatal. Our only and clear demand is to give the children the medication in a timely manner to prolong their lives. The protest will continue until our demand is met and the children receive the medications we're fighting for. The children wait every day for their condition to improve," she was quoted as saying.
