Concentrations of benzene, xylene, and soot in the air in areas adjacent to the port of Tuapse are two to three times higher than normal. As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," a fire broke out at the oil terminal in Tuapse following a drone attack on the night of April 20. Residents, especially in microdistricts located near the port, are advised to limit their time outdoors; not open windows indoors; and carry out wet cleaning of premises more frequently.

Authorities also urged city residents to give up contact lenses in favor of glasses; rinse their nose, eyes, and throat;
– quit smoking; use masks if it is necessary to go outside; in case of symptoms of an acute illness or malaise (signs of shortness of breath, cough, etc.), exacerbation of chronic diseases, it is necessary to contact a medical organization.
 
The situation will normalize as soon as the fire is extinguished," the task force stated, adding, No one has reported any symptoms of acute illness or malaise due to the fire since the night of April 20th.

Animal rights activists have called for help for animals after the "black rain"

The Telegram channel "My Tuapse" published a photo of a schoolchild's hands after returning from class; they are covered in small black spots. "Does it occur to you that we should transfer the children to remote learning for now?" asked the author, Nata Kovalenko.

Calls for help for animals affected by the black rain are circulating on Telegram channels.
