Power has been restored to residents of three villages in Chechnya.

Specialists have repaired the aftermath of a power outage that occurred during the flood, leaving residents of three villages in the Nozhai-Yurt district without power.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," more than 100 homes were completely destroyed and over 3,000 damaged in Chechnya during the flood. Residents of the republic have filed 2,400 claims for compensation for damages. By April 3, the water had receded from all flooded residential buildings and garden plots in Chechnya.

Power has been restored to residents of the villages of Benoy-Vedeno, Gurzhi-Mokhk, and part of Koren-Benoy in the Nozhai-Yurtovsky District, a representative of Chechenenergo reported.

"Feeder No. 10, which runs from the 35 kV Benoy substation and was previously de-energized due to heavy rainfall, is back online. Power workers have completed repairs. Electricity is being supplied to consumers in the villages of Benoy-Vedeno, Gurzhi-Mokhk, and part of Koren-Benoy as normal," the Chechnya Segodnya news agency quoted him as saying today.

According to the source, restoration work in In the Nozhai-Yurt district, damage to energy facilities following the natural disasters is still ongoing, the publication notes.
