Kuban officials accused of corruption retained their posts.

Four high-ranking officials in the Krasnodar Krai administration retained their posts despite being arrested in connection with corruption investigations.

As reported by the Caucasian Knot, in January, Alexei Pereverzev, Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the Krasnodar Krai, and two of his deputies were arrested in connection with a fraud case. In February, Alexander Tararykin, head of the regional department for Cossack affairs, military issues, and work with pre-conscription youth, were arrested in connection with abuse of office, and Sergei Shtrikov, acting Minister of Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Krasnodar Krai, was arrested in connection with abuse of office. Also in March, Yevgeny Filippov, Minister of Health of the Krasnodar Territory, was taken into custody.

Several officials of the Krasnodar Territory administration from the team formed after the 2025 elections, who were charged with criminal corruption, have not been dismissed from their positions. This was reported by TASS, citing the Krasnodar Territory Department of Information Policy.

"From the day of his inauguration as Governor of the Krasnodar Territory until the present, there have been no dismissals for corruption offenses due to loss of confidence among individuals holding public office in the Krasnodar Territory or positions as heads of executive bodies in the Krasnodar Territory. "No personnel decisions have been made regarding the head of the Department for Cossack Affairs, Military Issues, and Work with Pre-Conscription Youth of the Krasnodar Krai, the Minister of Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Krasnodar Krai, or the Minister of Transport and Road Management of the Krasnodar Krai since the criminal cases were initiated against the heads of these agencies," the department reported.

It should be noted that on January 21, the official website of the Krasnodar Krai administration reported that Yevgeny Filippov and Aleksey Pereverzev had been reappointed to the positions of Minister of Health and Minister of Transport and Road Management of the region, respectively. On January 22, the website reported that Aleksandr Tararykin had been reappointed head of the Department for Cossack Affairs, Military Issues, and Work with Pre-Conscription Youth. Sergei Shtrikov was acting minister at the time of his arrest.

It should be noted that Pereverzev's arrest was related to government contracts for road maintenance. The case against Tararykin was related to the misappropriation of budget funds allocated for the development of the Cossack community: investigators believe that, under the official's influence, the Kuban Cossack Host entered into unfavorable contracts with regional media outlets totaling at least 15 million rubles.

According to case materials, in 2024, Shtrikov instructed subordinates to prepare fictitious documents about alleged violations discovered during an already completed auction for the purchase and installation of a modular fire station building, in order to have its results overturned. After a repeat bidding process, the contract was awarded to a company lobbied for by the official.

According to investigators, Filippov embezzled more than seven million rubles in budget funds between November 2015 and December 2025. Security officials' attention to Filippov, who has headed the Kuban Ministry of Health since 2013, was drawn to his family's financial status: numerous properties are registered to the official and his relatives.
