Trains carrying Russian wheat have been shipped from Baku to Armenia.

A train carrying 349 tons of grain from Russia was sent to Armenia via Azerbaijan.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on March 25, five train cars carrying 350 tons of Russian wheat were sent to Armenia via Azerbaijan.

Five railcars with grain from Russia were sent from Baku to Armenia today, with a total weight of 349 tons, APA reports.

As of today, 23,500 tons of grain, over 1,000 tons of fertilizer, and 68 tons of buckwheat have already been shipped from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan, the agency writes.

A train carrying Russian wheat departed today from the Bilajari railway station on the outskirts of Baku. It will proceed via the Boyuk Kesik station to Georgia, and from there it will head to Armenia, Report writes.

As a reminder, in October 2025, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced the lifting of all restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia. Armenian authorities considered this an important step in opening regional communications. In early November 2025, a cargo of Russian grain arrived in Armenia via Azerbaijan for the first time since the 1990s.
