A soldier from the Astrakhan region was killed in Ukraine.

Nurzhan Demisenov from the Narimanov district was killed in combat in Ukraine. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 731 combatants from the Astrakhan region have been recognized as killed in it.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by March 28, at least 730 fighters from the Astrakhan region were officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

The Narimanov district administration reported on its Telegram channel the unveiling of a memorial desk at a school in the village of Prikaspiysky for Nurzhan Demisenov, killed in the military operation zone.

At least 4,415 soldiers from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,536 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

Nurzhan Demisenov was born on December 22, 1990, in the village of Prikaspiysky and graduated from the local school in 2006. In October 2022, Nurzhan was called up as part of the partial mobilization. Several months later, holding the rank of corporal, he served as the acting squad leader of a reconnaissance group. He was killed on October 4, 2023, according to a statement from the municipal administration.

Thus, officials have officially recognized at least 731 servicemen from the Astrakhan region as killed on the Ukrainian front.

The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the Caucasian Knot report "NVO Statistics: Losses Mount for Southern Russia".

The last time the death of a combatant from the Narimanov District was reported was on May 28, 2025. At that time, authorities reported that Sergey Pershin had been killed in the military operation.
