Two contract soldiers from the Astrakhan region were killed in combat.

At least 4,384 soldiers from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4,519 from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

Erbol Bisenov was born in 1976 in the village of Volodarsky. After serving in the army, he worked in various organizations in his home village and Astrakhan. In January 2025, he signed a contract and deployed to the military operation zone, where he served in a motorized rifle battalion with the rank of senior sergeant. Erbol Bisenov was listed as missing in action on March 15, 2025, and was later confirmed dead, according to the publication.

Rustam Kulzhumurov was born in 1985. In 2024, he signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense and deployed to the military operation zone, where he was killed on July 26, 2025, according to district authorities.

Thus, at least 730 soldiers from the Astrakhan Region have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
