The prosecutor's office demanded the seizure of the apartments and lands of the Kuban minister.

The Krasnodar Prosecutor's Office has demanded that the land plots, houses, and apartments of the arrested head of the Kuban Ministry of Health, Yevgeny Filippov, and his relatives be handed over to the state. The property listed in the lawsuit is valued at one billion rubles.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," on March 17, Yevgeny Filippov, the Minister of Health of the Kuban, was arrested. He is accused of large-scale fraud and taken into custody.

The prosecutor's office has filed a lawsuit seeking the seizure of one billion rubles worth of property belonging to Yevgeny Filippov and his relatives. The defendants in the case include Filippov himself, his family members, and trusted individuals, 93.ru reports today.

According to the prosecutor's office, the official and his relatives own 21 apartments, two private homes, 14 non-residential properties, nine land plots, seven apartments, four garages, and three parking spaces. The property is registered to the minister, his son, his ex-wife, who worked as a doctor, her sister, and his "common-law wife," who holds a senior position in the health insurance system, the publication writes.

The lawsuit was filed by the Krasnodar Prosecutor's Office in the city's Oktyabrsky District Court, Kommersant reports.

According to the case file on the court's website, the defendants, in addition to Yevgeny Filippov, include Fyodor, Alexander, and Olga Filippov, and five others. The lawsuit was filed on March 18, and the case preparation (interview) is scheduled for March 23.

As a reminder, on January 27, security forces conducted an investigative investigation into former Deputy Governor of Kuban Anna Minkova. She was later detained on suspicion of corruption, and the court placed Minkova under house arrest. The Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit to seize Minkova's property worth more than 330 million rubles.

In connection with similar lawsuits against former officials in Dagestan, the property of people not involved in corruption violations was seized, Makhachkala lawyer and activist Arsen Magomedov reported in December 2025.

According to him, in one case, a person acquired property after it had already been sold at public auction during the bankruptcy of a relative of a former official. In another, a person living in a shared courtyard became a co-owner of a property owned by relatives of a former official.

"Prosecutors are actively trying to transfer to the state all property acquired, in their opinion, in violation of anti-corruption laws. Given the scale of the claims (more than a hundred properties), it's not surprising that this court sometimes deals with individuals who are difficult to classify as belonging to these tukhums [families]," the lawyer stated.
