Volgograd City Hall reported on its inspection of the damaged high-rise building.

Volgograd authorities are assessing the extent of damage to an apartment building following a drone strike overnight. There are no people at the temporary shelter prepared for the attack, the mayor's office reported.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," windows in apartments in a multi-story residential building on Vladimir Petrovsky Street in Volgograd were broken as a result of a drone strike. There are no injuries, authorities reported.

Municipal authorities have begun a door-to-door inspection of the damaged building "to measure window openings and carry out subsequent restoration work," the Volgograd administration reported on its Telegram channel.

"Employees of the management company are temporarily closing window openings until the glazing is restored. These measures are carried out as owners provide access to residential premises," the publication says.

Authority representatives are also discussing with residents issues related to financial assistance in the event of property damage, the report notes.

"A temporary accommodation center was quickly prepared for residents at School No. 55. Sleeping places and hot meals were organized for residents of the buildings at night; there are currently no residents on the territory of the temporary accommodation center," the mayor's office reported.

As a reminder, on February 13, a woman and a teenager were injured in a drone attack in Volgograd. According to authorities, several private and apartment buildings were damaged. Windows in damaged apartments haven't been repaired even a week after the attack, and it's difficult to reach dispatchers, victims complained.

In the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts, including the Volgograd Region, filming drone attacks and their aftermath is prohibited. These prohibitions contradict the Constitution, which guarantees the inadmissibility of censorship and the freedom to seek, record, and disseminate information, lawyers pointed out.
