The fire at the Afipsky oil refinery has been extinguished

A fire that started after a drone attack has been extinguished at the Afip Oil Refinery. UAV wreckage has been found in Anapa and Krasnodar, authorities reported.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," three people were injured during a drone attack at the Kavkaz port last night. They have been hospitalized, the Kuban emergency response center reported. A fire also broke out at the Afip Oil Refinery.

A fire caused "by falling UAV wreckage" at the Afip Oil Refinery has been extinguished, the Kuban emergency response center reported on its Telegram channel. "There were no casualties as a result of the incident," the statement reads.

Two injured people refused hospitalization.

According to updated information from authorities, one person, not three, was hospitalized after the "UAV attack on the Kavkaz port" in the Temryuk district. "He is under observation in a moderate condition. Two other injured people refused hospitalization," the task force explained.

Drone debris was found in two municipalities; there were no injuries, authorities reported. "In the village of Chekon in Anapa, fragments of a drone fell on the grounds of a private home. Windows in an outbuilding were blown out. UAV wreckage was also found in a field on the outskirts of Krasnodar. No damage was caused," the publication notes.

Remember, residents of the villages of Afipsky and Ilsky in the Seversky District of Kuban, where oil refineries are located, regularly suffer from drone attacks. For example, on December 14, 2025, authorities reported that during a drone attack, "UAV wreckage" damaged five private homes in the village of Afipsky. On December 1, a drone attack damaged 19 homes and a cell phone tower in the village of Ilsky.

The oil refineries themselves have also been repeatedly attacked by drones. In particular, on February 17, a UAV attack resulted in a fire at the Ilsky Oil Refinery.

On November 29, 2025, an air strike at the refinery in the village of Afipsky caused a fire, and workers were evacuated. The fire was extinguished that same day.

In September 2025, the Krasnodar Territory banned the dissemination of information about drone attacks and their consequences, as well as the filming of air defense systems, military installations, and critical infrastructure. In December 2025, Kuban authorities imposed fines for filming aerial attacks and air defense systems. The "Caucasian Knot" published a corresponding bill of the regional legislative assembly.
