A soldier from Kabardino-Balkaria was killed in Ukraine.

Ivan Lvov was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, at least 385 servicemen from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed there.

As reported by Caucasian Knot, by March 7, at least 384 soldiers from Kabardino-Balkaria had been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

A rally was held at Nalchik Gymnasium No. 4 to unveil the "Wall of Memory" in honor of the school's graduates killed in the military operation. Among them is Ivan Lvov, the Kabardino-Balkaria branch of the "Defenders of the Fatherland" Foundation reported on its Telegram channel on March 13.

Details of the fighter's biography and death were not provided in the statement.

Thus, at least 385 fighters from Kabardino-Balkaria have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation. "Caucasian Knot" knows the names of 372 of them, while the deaths of another 13 were revealed in a report by the republic's authorities on payments to the families of those killed in 2022.

"Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the Caucasian Knot report "Northern Military District Statistics: Losses Are Mounting for Southern Russia."

State awards, memorial plaques, and appearances on Channel One do not guarantee state support for the families of those killed, according to the Caucasian Knot report "Three Comrades Served: How Authorities Are Denying Benefits to Families of Killed Volunteers," which describes the stories of the slain soldiers. In particular, the widow of one of the slain soldiers said that without a body, the battalion did not make payments in connection with the death of the soldier.
