Restrictions have been introduced on travel along the Transkam and Georgian Military Highway.

Due to inclement weather, all traffic is prohibited on the Transcaucasian Highway. Heavy-duty vehicles are restricted on the Georgian Military Highway.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," on February 9, the Transcaucasian Highway was closed to heavy-duty vehicles due to heavy snowfall. On February 10, it was closed to all vehicles. On February 14, the restrictions were lifted.

On the evening of February 22, due to deteriorating weather conditions and the impossibility of safe passage, all traffic was prohibited on the section from the village of Buron to the Northern Portal of the Roki Tunnel, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of North Ossetia. The restrictions are in place until 8:00 a.m. Moscow time today.

Restrictions have also been imposed on travel on the North Caucasus Highway, but only for heavy-duty vehicles. They are also related to the inability to ensure safe passage of vehicles and have been in effect since the evening of February 22nd on the section from Vladikavkaz to the village of Lars.
