Four Nalchik residents are accused of bribing a judge.

A case has reached court concerning bribes that were given to Mukhamed Tembotov during his time as a magistrate judge in exchange for a lighter sentence. According to investigators and the court, four residents paid bribes ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 rubles in order to pay a fine instead of having their licenses revoked.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, in Kabardino-Balkaria a criminal case has been opened against former magistrate Mukhamed Tembotov, who is accused of accepting bribes and acting as an intermediary in bribery.

Criminal cases against four citizens who paid bribes to magistrate Mukhamed Tembotov have been sent to court, Gazeta Yuga writes today.

According to investigators, four local residents were independently brought to administrative responsibility at different times in 2024. The administrative case materials were sent to the former magistrate of judicial district No. 7 in the city of Nalchik. The defendants, through intermediaries, including staff members, handed the judge bribes ranging from 10,000 to 50,000 rubles in exchange for a more lenient sentence, specifically a fine rather than the suspension of their driver's licenses, the Investigative Committee of Russia for Kabardino-Balkaria reported.
