Five drones were shot down in two regions of the Southern Federal District.

The military shot down four drones in the Rostov region and one in the Astrakhan region.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," last night, according to the governor of the Rostov region, one drone was shot down in the Millerovsky district. There were no reports of casualties or damage.

Last night, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 24 Ukrainian drones, including four in the Rostov Region and one in the Astrakhan Region, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.

According to the publication, the remaining drones were shot down in the Bryansk and Belgorod Regions.

Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin, as of 8:53 a.m. Moscow time, had not reported any UAV attack on his Telegram channel.

As a reminder, on December 15, 2025, 38 drones were shot down in the Astrakhan Region. They attacked "industrial and energy facilities," Igor Babushkin reported that day on his Telegram channel. He called it "one of the most massive attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Astrakhan Region."

In the Rostov Region, there is a ban on filming aerial attacks and their aftermath, air defense operations, and military unit locations. The corresponding governor's decree was published on the "Caucasian Knot."

In the Astrakhan Region, as in other regions of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts, filming drone attacks and their aftermath is prohibited. These prohibitions contradict the Constitution, which guarantees the inadmissibility of censorship and the freedom to search for, record, and disseminate information, lawyers pointed out.
