Residents of Bataysk filed 36 applications for financial assistance following the drone attack.

Thirty-six applications for financial assistance from residents of the neighborhood damaged by a drone strike on the night of December 17-18 have been submitted to the Bataysk city administration.

As reported by Caucasian Knot, Rostov, Bataysk, and Taganrog were attacked on the night of December 17-18, resulting in three deaths and six injuries. In Bataysk, several private homes were damaged during the drone strike, and four victims required medical assistance. In Rostov-on-Don, two new buildings were damaged. A ship was damaged in the port, with casualties among the crew.

The area where the drone struck has been cleared, the fire has been completely extinguished, and the next steps for emergency services have been determined. Thirty-six applications for financial assistance have been submitted to the administration. Window openings are being measured house by house for future replacement. A door-to-door inspection has been completed, Bataysk Mayor Valentin Kukin announced on his Telegram channel on December 18.

"I have instructed the preparation of documents to allocate funds for an instrumental inspection of four buildings. Experts will assess the technical condition of the buildings, the feasibility of subsequent major repairs, and the estimated cost of restoration work in order to allocate the necessary funds from the city's reserve fund as soon as possible," the mayor wrote.

According to him, the inspection of two buildings is scheduled to be completed by December 23, and the other two by December 26.

Earlier, Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar reported the declaration of a state of emergency in the affected areas. "Operational headquarters have been established and are working on the ground. In Bataysk, I have ordered inspections to assess the damage and provide temporary housing as quickly as possible to those whose homes were destroyed," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

As a reminder, on the night of December 17, military personnel shot down drones in Novoshakhtinsk and six districts of the Rostov Region. The attack damaged property at a business in the village of Nikolaevskaya.
