The former deputy head of the Defense Ministry's construction department has been arrested in Rostov-on-Don.

In Rostov-on-Don, the former deputy head of the construction department of the Defense Ministry's military construction complex, Dmitry Taksidi, was arrested on charges of lobbying the company's interests during the construction of a facility in Krasnodar Krai.

The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don has remanded in custody Dmitry Taksidi, the former deputy head of the construction department of the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Main Directorate of Special Construction," which is part of the Defense Ministry's military construction complex.

According to investigators, in 2023, Taksidi lobbied for compensation to promote the interests of an equipment supplier. and construction materials for a Ministry of Defense facility being built in the Krasnodar Krai. The contract with this supplier resulted in damage to the military department, Kommersant reported on December 4.

In January 2025, Taxidi resigned from his post. He was detained by FSB officers in Novorossiysk and transferred to Rostov-on-Don, where a court ordered his pretrial detention. He is accused of abuse of office in the execution of a state defense contract and accepting a bribe on an especially large scale.

The former official denies his guilt. An investigation is currently underway into his involvement in other similar incidents.

Previously, "Caucasian Knot" reported that last July, the Taganrog City Court sentenced Lidiya Agapova, head of the economic department of the Zvezda-Strela enterprise, to two years in prison, and Konstantin Slinko, director of the Taganrog Foundry, to two and a half years in prison, finding them guilty of fraud with funds from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
