The death of Bislan Elimkhanov in the military operation zone in Ukraine was revealed in a report by the Grozny State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company on its Instagram page* about naming a school in the village of Koren-Yurt in the Kurchaloy district after him. The report states that Elimkhanov left for the combat zone in 2023.

The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially released by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the Caucasian Knot report "NVO Statistics: Losses Are Growing in Southern Russia."
