A fighter from Tskhinvali was killed in Ukraine.

Soslan Kozayev, who was killed during a special military operation, was buried in Tskhinvali. At least 34 fighters from South Ossetia have been killed since the beginning of the operation in Ukraine.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," Boris Bestayev, a member of the Special Military Operations Forces, was buried in the village of Mugut on November 17. At least 33 combatants from South Ossetia have been killed there since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine.

Soslan Kozayev (call sign "Bars"), who was killed during a special military operation, was buried in Tskhinvali, the state news agency "Res" reported on November 22.

Kozayev was 30 years old and had been missing in action since August 2024. He is survived by three children.

South Ossetian President Alan Gagloyev and Russian Ambassador Marat Kulakhmetov attended the funeral. Kozayev was posthumously awarded the "Defender of the Fatherland" medal.

Thus, at least 34 fighters from South Ossetia have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
