The case of a 91-year-old pensioner from Dinskaya has reached court.

The court has set the date for the first hearing in the case of a 91-year-old pensioner from the Kuban village of Dinskaya, accused of indecent assault by teenage girls. Out of concern for the defendant's health and life, his lawyer asked the court to hold an off-site hearing.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," in October, investigators charged a 90-year-old pensioner from the village of Dinskaya with indecent assault after teenage girls vacationing on the beach testified against him. During the identification parade, the teenagers "quickly and staring at the floor, in the presence of their mothers and a psychologist, rattled off memorized and identical phrases," the lawyer reported. He is convinced that no indecent assault took place. The pensioner himself also denied the accusation.

The first court hearing in the pensioner's case is scheduled for December 30th. This is "due to the grandfather's health," lawyer Alexei Avanesyan announced on his Telegram channel on the evening of November 21st.

"I have filed a motion to hold a mobile court hearing at his place of residence, which will ensure the 91-year-old defendant's participation without harm to his health. Or rather, his life," he wrote.

As of 10:01 a.m. Moscow time on November 22nd, one comment had been posted. "91 years old – and such resilience. I remember how grandmothers didn't even care when they were detained by store security for 'stolen' cheese curds, and now we have this trial," wrote its author, Lyudmila Leonova.

As a reminder, the defendant is a former physics teacher, and his wife, also a teacher, worked her entire life as a teacher of Russian language and literature. Relatives describe the retiree as a caring husband and loving father. "We are used to teaching our children honesty and responsibility, and now we ourselves have become victims of a monstrous misunderstanding," his wife stated.

According to the lawyer, the pensioner faced pressure and threats, and investigators coerced him into confessing. On August 5, the pensioner's relatives reported that his health had deteriorated significantly due to the persecution. The pensioner is bedridden, and investigative actions were conducted at home.

The court, at the request of the investigators, ordered an inpatient psychiatric evaluation, despite arguments about the defendant's grave condition. When relatives visited the pensioner at the psychiatric hospital, they discovered he was sleeping in the hallway because there was no room in the wards. After 23 days in a Krasnodar psychiatric hospital, the accused's condition worsened.

An inpatient psychiatric examination showed that the elderly man "does not suffer from any sexual disorders, including pedophilia," Alexei Avanesyan reported on October 23.
