Five soldiers from Dagestan were killed in Ukraine.

Ruslan Shevletkhanov, Chingiz Kasumov, and three of their fellow countrymen from the Derbent district were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have publicly named at least 1,683 combatants from Dagestan killed there.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by November 17, at least 1,678 fighters from Dagestan had been officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine.

The names of five Dagestan servicemen killed in Ukraine were announced today by the Derbent district administration, which reported the presentation of posthumous awards to their relatives.

Among those killed were Privates Ruslan Shevletkhanov from the village of Dzhalgan and Alikber Ramazanov from the village of Chinar, as well as Sergeants Ruslan Musalayev from Berikey and Chingiz Kasumov from the village of Zidyan-Kazmalyar. Another person killed was Corporal Ruslan Abdullaev from the village of Salik. All five were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, according to a post on the municipality's official Telegram channel.

Thus, at least 1,683 servicemen from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the combat zone in Ukraine. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation. The list was compiled based on data officially announced by government officials and law enforcement agencies, according to the "Caucasian Knot" report "Statistics of the Central Military District: Losses are growing for the south of Russia".
