Two soldiers from the Astrakhan region were killed in the SVO zone.

Ivan Ananyev and Marat Dzhakiyayev were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 649 fighters from the Astrakhan region have been officially recognized as killed.

Ivan Ananyev is originally from the Kostroma region. In 2005, Ivan graduated from the Tsvetnovskaya comprehensive school in the Volodarsky district.
In 2007, he was drafted into the Russian Armed Forces. Afterward, he worked as a gamekeeper at a tourist camp. In 2017, Ivan received a gas cutter qualification and worked as a pipeline fitter. He was sent to the SVO zone in 2022 and was killed on November 6, according to the Volodarsky district administration.

Marat Dzhakiyayev was born on June 19, 1973, in the village of Bolshoy Mogoy. At the age of three, he moved with his parents to the village of Sarpa in the Yustinsky district of the Kalmyk ASSR. He attended first grade at the Sarpinskaya School, and in 1985, the family moved to the village of Kozlovo. Marat attended Kozlovo Secondary School from grades 5 through 11, graduating in 1990. He served in the border troops. He trained at the Voluntary Society for Assistance to the Army, Air Forces (DOSAAF) and worked as a construction worker and fisherman in various organizations. He signed a contract in August 2024 and was killed on November 16, 2024, according to another message on the district administration's Telegram channel.

Thus, at least 649 soldiers from the Astrakhan Region have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
