A Dagestani woman was detained at Domodedovo Airport in connection with a terrorism case.

A Russian woman from Dagestan, arrested in absentia on terrorism charges, was detained at Domodedovo Airport. After being transferred, the woman will be placed in a pretrial detention center in Dagestan.

A Russian woman, arrested in absentia in the Russian Federation and placed on the international wanted list for allegedly participating in and assisting a terrorist organization, was detained at Domodedovo Airport, RIA Novosti reports, citing documents in the agency's possession.

Alpiyat Abdulmutalibova was previously arrested in absentia and placed on the international wanted list on charges in absentia of assisting terrorist activity (Part 1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and participating in the activities of an organization designated as terrorist under Russian law (Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). id="#wk_ft2" contenteditable="false"> 2 ).

The woman was placed in a facility operating as a pretrial detention center for subsequent transfer to a pretrial detention center in the Republic of Dagestan, as the case was initiated by investigators in that region, according to the materials.

Moreover, a court in Dagestan extended Abdulmutalibova's arrest by two months at the end of September, even though she had not yet been transferred to the region. The defendant participated in the hearing via video link. Her defense attorney pointed out that Abdulmutalibova has six children, five of whom are minors, two of whom are juveniles. She will appear at the first request of the investigation if released.

Nevertheless, a court in Dagestan extended Abdulmutalibova's pretrial detention for two months and five days; the decision came into effect in mid-October. After her transfer, she will be placed in a pretrial detention center in Dagestan, the agency notes.
