Single Voting Day 2025 in the South of Russia

As part of the Single Voting Day from September 12 to 14, 2025, elections are being held in some regions of southern Russia and the North Caucasus. In Kuban and Rostov Oblast, governors are being elected, and in a number of other regions, deputies to city councils, heads of cities and settlements are being elected.

Krasnodar Krai

On the Single Voting Day (September 12 to 14, 2025), the region is holding gubernatorial and municipal elections. Deputies are also being elected to city councils in Krasnodar, Sochi, etc., and elections of deputies and heads of rural settlements1. ¹

Rostovskaya Oblast

Rostov Oblast governor elections are taking place on September 12-14. Elections for city council deputies will be held in Rostov-on-Don, Volgodonsk, Donetsk, Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Novocherkassk, Shakhty, and the cities of Gukovo and Zverevo2 ².

Dagestan

In September 2025, municipal campaigns are taking place in the republic - elections of deputies of representative bodies and heads of the cities of Makhachkala, Buinaksk, Dagestanskie Ogni, Kaspiysk, Kizlyar, Yuzhno-Sukhokumsk. There will also be elections for heads of municipal entities will be held in Akhvakhsky, Kazbekovsky, Kayakentsky, Levashinsky, Tarumovsky districts ³.

Stavropol Krai

Municipal campaigns are underway in Stavropol: elections in 24 municipal entities. Among them are elections of deputies of representative bodies in the cities of Stavropol, Pyatigorsk, Nevinnomyssk, Kislovodsk, Zheleznovodsk. In the Blagodarnensky district, additional elections of deputies will be held ⁴.

Republic of Adygea

On September 14, 2025, additional elections of deputies of the Councils of People's Deputies of the Maykop and Takhtamukaysky districts will be held in Adygea ⁵.

Volgograd region

Municipal elections of heads of settlements and deputies will be held in the Volgograd region. The region is to elect 25 heads of rural settlements and 185 deputies to 26 representative bodies of municipal formations of urban and rural settlements ⁶.

Astrakhan Region

From September 12 to 14, elections are being held for deputies to the Astrakhan City Duma, to the councils of deputies of the Yenotayevsky and Limansky municipal districts, to local government bodies in rural settlements in the Kamyzyaksky and Ikryaninsky districts, and early elections for the head of a rural settlement in the Akhtubinsky district ⁷.

Northern Ossetia - Alania

On September 13 and 14, elections to local government bodies are being held in the Alagir, Ardon, Iraf, Pravoberezhny and Prigorodny districts ⁸. The elections will be held using electronic voting.

Kalmykia

On September 14, the republic will hold by-elections of a deputy of the People's Khural of the Republic of Kalmykia. Local elections of deputies of the Assembly of Deputies of District and Rural Municipal Formations of the Republic of Kalmykia will be held in all 13 districts, and elections of the head of the Baga-Chonosovsky SMO ⁹

Ingushetia

On September 14, 2025, elections of the 5th convocation of the city council will be held in the city of Magas ¹⁰.

In Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia and Chechnya in 2025 there will be no election campaigns marked.
