Recognized human losses in southern Russia in Ukraine exceed 7,250

The authorities of the regions of southern Russia have publicly acknowledged that more than 7,250 servicemen were killed in combat operations in Ukraine, including 3,644 from the Southern Federal District and 3,607 from the North Caucasus Federal District.

As "Caucasian Knot" reported, by August 16, the official authorities and representatives of the security forces had released data on 7,207 servicemen from southern Russia killed in combat operations in Ukraine. 3,625 of those killed were in the Southern Federal District, 3,582 in the North Caucasus Federal District.

According to the “Caucasian Knot” calculations, officials and security forces in southern Russia have released data on at least 7,251 servicemen killed in Ukraine by August 19. In the North Caucasus Federal District, the largest number of officially recognized losses is in Dagestan, where the authorities have announced data on at least 1,519 servicemen killed. There are 796 such in Stavropol Krai, and 476 in North Ossetia. 283 soldiers have been publicly recognized as killed1 from Kabardino-Balkaria and 2422 from Chechnya, as well as 147 combatants from Karachay-Cherkessia and 114 from Ingushetia.

In the Southern Federal District, the largest number of those killed, publicly named by the authorities, is in the Volgograd Region - 1,305. In the Krasnodar Territory, officials released data on 776 killed soldiers, in the Rostov Region - 704. Another 595 killed soldiers are in the Astrakhan Region, in Kalmykia, information was announced about 169 killed fighters, in Adygea - about 95.
