Alexander Bastrykin responds to appeal of SMO veteran from Volzhsky

In his appeal addressed to the chair of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), Vitaly Yefremov, a veteran of the special military operation (SMO) from the city of Volzhsky, has complained that authorities do not allocate normal land plots to fighters. Alexander Bastrykin has requested his subordinates to launch an inspection.

In June, Vitaly Yefremov, a veteran of the SMO and assistant to the regional head of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, recorded his appeal to the chair of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation. In his appeal, the SMO veteran asked Alexander Bastrykin to intervene in the situation with allocation of land plots in the city of Volzhsky, where, according to the appeal, SMO participants are allocated land plots on the very outskirts of the city, behind the city cemetery.

At the same time, good places are strangely being allocated to other people, the SMO veteran notes.

“The same situation is being observed time and time again. The SMO fighters want to get a plot of land, as provided for by the presidential decree,” the “Volgograd News” portal quotes Vitaly Yefremov as stating. “They choose free places, but they are being offered land plots only in the LPK settlement. This is humiliating. Why do the SMO fighters only get land plots on the outskirts, while the ‘right’ people get the profitable plots’

After the appeal, the chair of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation has requested his subordinates to prepare a report on the violation of the rights of the SMO participant from the city of Volzhsky in the Volgograd Region.

“The media has published an appeal to the chair of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation from a combat veteran from the city of Volzhsky in the Volgograd Region. He asks the chair of the Investigating Committee to take control of the situation with the allocation of land plots on the outskirts to SMO participants, while elite places are received by other people as a result of some strange decisions,” the “Volgograd News” reports in its Telegram channel. And the portal continues reporting: “The investigative bodies of the Investigating Committee for the Volgograd Region are conducting an investigation into this fact under Articles 285 and 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
