Security measures were reinforced on Chechen-Ingush border

Security measures were reinforced at the south-western section of the Chechen-Ingushetia administrative order. The military do not preclude a chance that gunmen who fired on Thursday at a military convoy in Ingushetia will try to break through into Chechnya.

As it was reported at the commandant's office of interior troops of the Achkhoy-Martan security zone, additional troops were dispatched to the Assinovskaya-Bamut-Arshty-Datykh border line. Possible ways for gunmen's retreat were securely sealed off. Patrols were put on forest paths. The regime for passing the Kavkaz-1 border checkpoint was stiffened. A recommendation was issued for local residents of border villages against going to surrounding forests.
