Bloggers dispute operational headquarters’ data on absence of fuel oil emissions in Anapa

A lot of clots of fuel oil washed up on the Central Beach of Anapa and the beaches of Dzhemete. This was reported by bloggers, who posted videos from the shore. The operational headquarters for the Krasnodar Territory reported no fuel oil emissions.

According to the rescuers’ information, the works to remove oil products are underway on nineteen sections of the coast of the Krasnodar Territory, more than 240 kilometres long. No new fuel oil spills have been detected on the coast near Anapa since May 27.

On June 17, no new fuel oil spills were detected on the coast of Anapa, the operational headquarters for the Krasnodar Territory reported. “Municipal teams conducted morning monitoring of the coastline and did not detect any new pollution,” the Krasnodar Territory operational headquarters’ report states.

Bloggers have posted videos and photos showing fuel oil spills in Dzhemete.

For example, the author of the “Makovozovy” Telegram channel walked a kilometre along the beach from Gostevoy to Krivoy Proyezd in Dzhemete. The blogger notes that the storm “brought a lot of fuel oil clots.” “On the beach itself, from the embankment to the dunes, there are still entire fields of fuel oil clots,” the blogger wrote on his Telegram channel.

Blogger Yuri Ozarovsky also posted a video from Dzhemete on his Telegram channel.

“This is the area of Pervy Proyezd. There are drops of fuel oil right in the water. And on the sand,” says a female voice behind the scenes.

The author of the “Anapa in Focus: Denis’s Blog” channel reports about the fuel oil spills on the Central Beach of Anapa. “We were joking that the resort guests would clean the beach of fuel oil clots with their soles and heels. After a while, we realize that was not a joke,” the blogger wrote.
