Authorities involve children in celebrating Circassian Flag Day

At festive events on the occasion of the Circassian Flag Day held in kindergartens and schools in Karachay-Cherkessia, Adygea and Kabardino-Balkaria, children were introduced to the history and meaning of the Circassian Flag.

Every year on April 25, residents of Adygea, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia celebrate the Circassian Flag Day. The green flag with arrows and stars symbolizes the entire complex of national cultural values for the Adygs (Circassians) and gives hope for the future, in 2024, celebration participants of the Circassian Flag Day in Nalchik explained.

The authorities of the Khabezsky District of Karachay-Cherkessia have called on residents to share "beautiful and unusual photos that capture the main symbol of our people."

After that, videos with children began appearing in the Telegram page of the district cultural centre. Thus, schoolchildren in the village of Maly Zelenchuk recorded a video with the image of the Circassian Flag, and kindergarten children performed a dance with the Flag.

A concert dedicated to the Day of the Circassian Flag was held at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University, the RIA "Kabardino-Balkaria" has reported.

"The Circassian Flag Day is not just a symbol; it is a reminder of our heritage, culture and our unity as a nation," Sakima Pasholova, a candidate of philological sciences is quoted as saying.
