Contract soldier complains about absence of treatment at hospital in Chechnya

Ruslan Arazov, a wounded soldier, has stated that he was discharged from a hospital in Chechnya, although he received no proper treatment there. He has demanded to conduct a check and punish those guilty.

Ruslan claimed, in his video appeal posted in his YouTube channel, that in February 2024, he signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) and was in the special military operation (SMO) zone in Ukraine; he was wounded there and broke his leg, and on December 25, 2024, was admitted to a hospital in Chechnya.

According to his story, during his seven days at the hospital, he "received no medical treatment," except for bandages.

"The staff's attitude was extremely disrespectful, disgusting; they falsify documents, understate the trauma extent; there are no due living conditions, and most importantly, no treatment is provided," Ruslan Arazov wrote in the annotation to the video, asking to be sent to another military hospital for treatment.

"I am lying in a barracks with my broken leg, where there are no conditions. I ask you to look into this situation and bring the perpetrators to justice," Arazov has stated.
