At least four people suffered during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus in the period from October 1 to December 31, 2023; one person was killed, and four others were wounded. On November 22, 2023, as part of a counterterrorist operation (CTO) conducted in Sunzha, law enforcers, killed a man who had opened fire on them. The casualty was suspected of aiding Amirkhan Gurazhev and Adam Ozdoev, who had been announced wanted after committing an attack on the road-and-patrol (DPS) post located on the Ingush-North-Ossetian border, a law enforcement source has informed, adding that a SOBR (Special Rapid Response Unit) fighter was wounded in the shootout.

On December 25, 2023, in the Sunzha District of Ingushetia, policemen detained two people after a shootout. The police received a report that in Karabulak, a Lada Granta car was shelled from a Mercedes-Benz car; the driver of the former one was wounded. A policeman tried to stop the Mercedes, but the driver continued moving. Policemen fired several shots at the car, which soon collided with another car and came to a stop.

"The driver and the wounded passenger tried to escape, but were detained. A man who was walking near the post at the time of the incident was also wounded in his leg," the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported. A traumatic pistol converted into a combat one, two knives and ammunition were found in the Mercedes.
