Kulaev's appeal to Ombudsperson outrages social network users

Nurpasha Kulaev has deserved life imprisonment for the terror act committed in the Beslan school, social media users from North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria assert in their comments on Kulaev's appeal to the Ombudsperson with a request to review his case.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Nurpasha Kulaev, who was sentenced to life imprisonment within the case of the terror act in the Beslan school, asked for the materials of his criminal case from Tamerlan Tsgoev, the North-Ossetian Ombudsperson, in the hope of revising it.

On September 1, 2004, terrorists took 1128 hostages in a gym of the Beslan school No. 1. The special operation to release the hostages was finished on September 3, 2004. As a result of the terror act, 334 people were killed, including 186 children, and other 810 people were injured.

Instagram users have criticized in harsh terms Kulaev for his appeal to the Ombudsperson; many addressed their curses to Kulaev. Social media users who posted their comments were unanimous in favour of not softening the convict's sentence.

"I would reconsider his case and give him a couple more life sentences," the user sulimbek15 has suggested. "If he wants to live more, let him stay in jail and not ask for freedom," the user kesaevaelbak has written. "It is not acceptable for anyone: to deprive so many children and people of their lives, to ruin so many lives; and he still has the audacity to ask for revision," Albina Karaeva has written with indignation.
